The PTSA exists to identify the needs of all students, the school, its families, and community. Together we find the ways to provide each student a safe environment with the best teachers, tools, and resources to meet those needs and unlock success in every child. Accokeek Academy exists on this platform with the help and support of our school, families, and community. Becoming involved in the PTSA and our activities is a contribution and investment into your child’s education and well-being. The members of Accokeek Academy PTSA are part of a great group of people that exist to:

Advocate for our students- we identify the needs within the school and then identify methods and strategies to satisfy those needs.
Sustain a Family-School Partnership- provides a forum for the exchange of ideas between school and family. Creates an atmosphere of learning that includes educational fun for home and school.
Identify Educational Resources and implement strategies to provide the resources through fundraising. We provide Assemblies, Literacy programs, Health and Fitness programs and numerous others.
